    1. Its an action shot camera…an outdoor camera…there is no need for fracking WiFi in this camera. Storage is CF AND SD, battery is the LP-E6N, an updated LP-E6 version. And this thin can come close to doubling your 999…and thats ok

  1. Nothing special really. I can imagine they will ask top dollar for this. lately canon is taking advice from apple and bringing nothing new compared to sony and nikon.

  2. Apparently the only significant upgrade will be the autofocus. Great for action shooters, I’m still clinging to the faint hope that it will sport an updated sensor. I’m prepared to be disappointed though.

  3. If the Canon 7Dmrk2 doesn’t have much better ISO performance what’s the point it have to be better then the 70D and at least on par with Nikon D7100 for night photography !

  4. The 7dii doesnt need to exist. The 70d is for ppl who want apsc and tilt screens, and the focus system is enough. Anything more and you may as well get a 6d or a 5diii

      1. not really the correct idiom, its more like comapring red apples to green apples..
apples to oranges would be like a full frame vs a micro four thirds and their capabilities. this 7dmkii and 70d is somewhat identical.. but then again you’re a horse.. so fuck you.

    1. I think 7D mark II will find its fans. I have 70D and I’m jealous of 7D’s build quality and more functions and headphonejack. On the other had some people who have 7D are jealous of my Dual-pixel CMOS sensor and my better ISO quality.

  5. I’ve been waiting months for this camera and was hoping it had a tiltable screen for video and low and high shots..WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT AND A BLOODY WASTE OF TIME…FUCKING TOTAL LET DOWN…!!!!

  6. AF itself can be a game changer …10fps …at least one stop improvement of ISO than the current 7D will be a boon for wildlife photographers

  7. Having seen the specs and now the camera, I am absolutely thrilled about the 7d MK II. The DOF preview button is now on the right so it can be activated with the index finger allowing us to go from one-shot to servo mode (just like the MK III), the back buttons are EXACTLY like the MK III and this is just great. I use the 7d as a second body and the difference between the MK III and the 7D are enough to get confusing but they seem to have addressed that issue! I am also hopeful that the image review magnification will be just like the MK III and allow instant zoom to determine in focus shots. The tracking modes will surely be just like the 1dX and MK III’s so this will also be a great addition. I am also confident that the C modes will auto update like the two pro bodies. Obviously the sensor will have better IQ and ISO so it will be up to par with the MK III. I currently use the 7D during weddings at ISO 3200 and have never had issues after applying noise reduction so the MK II will be better. And then all 65 points are cross? And 10fps? This camera is going to rock! Most of you that are crying about SPECS and how this camera is a disappointment are not pros and it boggles the mind why you are upset. You blame equipment when you should be focusing on yourselves.

  8. For months we were led to believe the new 7d would be designed on the EOS 1 style. They were even calling it the baby EOS. This is the same song and dance. For this kind of money I’m moving to the Mark iii. At least it’s full frame. Very disappointed Canon’

  9. Interesting. Why would Canon make a mode dial wheel, where all the functions would be squished into just half of the dial? Unless the picture isn’t accurate.

    1. I’m not sure if I understood what are trying to say, but they do it on 5Ds and 7Ds and (maybe 6Ds) as well.
If you are asking why it doesn’t turn all the way around, I think it is so one can change mode without looking at the dial.

      1. Sam, I’m not suggesting it doesn’t rotate all the way. I’m saying, why put all the icons/controls in just 1/2 of the wheel. Why not spread them out so they take up the entire wheel? After a given period of use, you’d know which way to rotate the control to get the setting you want. It just looks odd to me, that’s all I’m saying.

        1. I think, this way it is quicker, and you don’t have to rotate than readjust your hand and than rotate again even if you have tiny tiny hands

  10. Lots of whining around the web about this..but for someone like me who spends all of his time outdoors, in all weathers, photographing wildlife then this upgrade is perfect, I couldn’t have written the spec better myself. Luckily I don’t want a touch screen and have no need for wifi on top of mountains..and a flippy flappy screen will just end up broken. I guess this camera will be a lot better than most of the people claiming it isn’t good enough
