Just received alert from Amazon saying my D850 “new estimated delivery date” is this Friday! Previous delivery estimate was 10/16/2017 to 10/24/2017. I placed the order minutes after appearing on 08/24/2017. Seems Amazon is also shipping D850 pre-orders.
My order from Amazon says will be shipping next week, pre-ordered on evening of August 24th. Looks Amazon is ahead of shipping pre-orders.

Canceled my order at B&H today. They could not confirm a date before an upcoming assignment and I talked to my local supplier about renting one for the shoot. They had one and no one had rented it and they said they would sell it to me. I now have a D850. It had 80 actuations on it – about half mine in the store. The only down side is I had to pay sales tax. So far, so good. B&H were great about the cancellation. I like those guys, but I have a new best friend locally.
I just got the shipment notice from Amazon, ordered on September 2nd.
Selected the pre-order option on the B&H Website. Order status says ON ORDER and the order tracking says BACKORDERED. 🙁

Pre order from a local dealer or some of the other camera stores that will take online orders. I placed my name on the list with a local camera shop after the 2nd shipment on 9/23 and receive my D850 on 10/16. The hype on shipments is bogus, I think most of the small dealers are receiving a lot of small shipments, my dealer received 2, then 4, then 5, then 12, at which point I was 13th on the list after the next shipment I was next on the list on 10/13 and received it on the 10/16. The ratio of pre orders from small dealers is in the buyers favor instead of going to someone like B&H or Adorama when an item is out of stock and there is a huge wait list. There are 2 dealers in my area that may be able to help if you give them a call, I won’t give the names but 1 is in Louisville and 1 is in Indianapolis. I’ve had good luck with both of these dealers.

Don’t hold your breath… I pre-ordered early on 24.08 and they still don’t have mine yet. They had 1,600 pre-orders and mine was pretty early in the process. I’d guess you may be waiting a month or two still.

They’re back from their vacation and despite rumors here and elsewhere saying that the 4th shipment was supposed to go out yesterday, BH rep said they have NO NEW INFORMATION.
I don’t know where you got this info, but as of today, 12 Oct 2017, B&H, Amazon, Best Buy, Adorama, and Focus Camera are all out of stock. B&H can’t even fill their first day of preorders (24 Aug orders) after SEVEN WEEKS. I ordered at B&H on am 25 Aug and they STILL haven’t filled it. They’re not helping this by taking weeks off Jewish holidays.

I pre-ordered at 10:00 AM on August 24th (about 8 hours after pre-orders opened.) I still as of today have not received my camera and after 5 or 6 calls and “live chats” they won’t tell me when I could possibly expect it or how far down the list I am. I paid via debit so they took my money immediately… nearly 2 months ago.

Has anyone ordered directly from Nikon? I ordered September 18 and the order status is processing. I have called Nikon for update but they will tell me the order is processing and cannot give a shipping date.
B&H update. I hope no one is relying on B&H to get one any time soon. I just called them again (it’s 15 Oct 2017) (after their latest 10-day break for a Jewish holiday) and talked to Leon. He flat out admitted they have orders placed a few hours after opening preorders on 24 Aug that still haven”t been filled. I ordered on 25 Aug. They also refuse to tell you where you are on their list but yet complain about Nikon not telling them anything. I think it’s safe to say one of the others I placed will get filled before this one and I end up cancelling this one.

Get on a list with a local Camera store, I placed my name on the list on 9/23/17 and was able to receive mine on 10/16/17. From the information I received mine was one of the 5th or 6th shipment. I know I wasn’t in the first 4 shipments and am pretty sure it wasn’t the 5th.

That’s insane. they are still on orders made in the first few hours. I just chatted with B&H and they claimed they only got “a few pieces and have thousands of back orders”. I refused to sign out this time, asking how many orders, how many pieces received, etc. I was not taking no this time. They would not budge. They bitch about Nikon not telling them anything and them do the same thing to us. Bunch of hypcrites. The only reason the chat ended was they close support at 6pm on the dot.
At this point I’m trying to figure out if I should cancel B&H order and order via Amazon. It seems Amazon is filling them faster?
I have 4 orders in with different dealers (see below). None are filled. My guess is B&H will still be last and one of the others will get filled first. But I’m not cancelling the B&H order just in case. Whomever FINALLY fills my order first gets the $. My mistake was not placing all on preorder day 1 at the same time. Next time I’ll know better.

B&H grrrrr! I placed an order to be delivered within US, and because I paid with an international card, they took the payment in advance!! No updates, no idea of dates! Rubbish, they took my money for something that they don’t have a clue when will be in stock!!! And the worst is that you can see people buying it after from other shops getting it before everyone at B&H!

I am leaving Nikon after 20 years. I ordered almost 2 months ago. They have no respect for their loyal customer. I can’t believe that I have to wait 2+ months to get nikon d850. They should have some proper planning. I liked Sony’s new 7r. Nice camera actually.
I placed my order on September 18th on Amazon. Until this morning the expected delivery was 11/2-10. Today Amazon changed it to 12/19-27. Nikon has really dropped the ball on this one. I could probably order a Sony A7R III today and get it before Nikon gets it’s act together. They’ve really let their community down…this could very well be my last Nikon. (Of course, I say that now…)
I wasn’t really annoyed until I got my 24-70 VR that’s now just sitting in my office. Haha. I’m considering just picking up a D810 instead or returning the lens and picking up a 5D MKIV or 5DSR.

I ordered from B&H on 08-25-17 at 9:13 am. In a chat, which I had a copy emailed to me, I was told “You can expect your order to be filled with the next shipment. we are expecting a shipment by next week.” … “I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. you can expect your order to shipped with the next shipmen”. We’ll see. I have have orders with 3 other places too but I think those are even more behind. Apparently there’s a shipment due Nov 8th.
Has anyone on here received their D850 from Adorama that ordered it after Sept 8th. Just trying to see how behind they are with orders. They will not tell you how you stand in line.
I traded in a D610 for a D850 on Sept 5th. Nothing yet. I was told on next batch they’ll send me mine.
Just to let anyone that ordered from Adorama, I just cancelled my order with them and have ordered it locally and the next one that comes in is my camera, should have don’t it from the start and I would have had it already.
I ordered from Nikon on 9/18. In my experience, Nikon is not better than any of the other vendors at providing updates about pending orders. Nikon customer support claims they have no access to inventory information or the store department, so the only alternative is to continue waiting.

Finally some positive news! I got the following delivery update estimate from Amazon for the order that I placed on September 9th. This was after pushing the first delivery estimate from Nov 2nd to Dec.14th once.
“We have good news! We’re able to get your order to you sooner than we
originally promised. Your new estimated delivery dates are listed below.
We’ll send a confirmation when your items ship” Your new estimated delivery date is: Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

THey do seem to be but keep in mind a month ago Amazon was on Sep 6. Took them a month to go three days, but that still seems faster than anyone else.

Finally got a FedEx notification email that buydig.com has shipped my D850. I ordered it on Ebay 8/28. Should have it Thursday.
I placed my order with B&H on 8/24 at 2:38PM. Last week I called and got an estimated ship date of 11/7. Today I called and got a new estimated ship date of 11/20. The whole experience has been disappointing as there seems to be such disparity regarding the processing of orders between the various vendors.
Every time I’ve asked for an update I get the same answer–Nikon doesn’t tell them when shipments are going to arrive. It’s weird that other people seem to be getting different answers. My guy (Ben) wouldn’t tell me anything at all.
These dealers are clearly NOT shipping in sequence of time order placed. See below where people orderd fm B&H 6pm 8/24 and have theres already. Same for Amazon and other places. ALL A BUNCH OF LIARS!!
See my previous note about Beach. Orders are not filled in sequence as many have contracts as 3 party retailers(associates) with many online sites such as Amazon, Best Buy and Target. These customers get preferential sales vs direct buy customers.
Well they all claim they fill in order, so again they’re LIARS. On Nov 8 B&H filled an order placed 13 hours after mine but didn’t fill mine. LIAR LIAR. Amazon filled mine the next day and I placed that order 33 DAYS after the B&H order.
FINALLY. First, call me dumb for not ordering from all 4 places back in Aug. I’ve learned my lesson. Second, Despite what these dealers claim, they are not always shipping in sequence of orders placed For example, today, 9 Nov, B&H shipped an order from 10pm 8/25 and didn’t send mine, ordered 9:13am 8/25. Many more examples are out there. Third, I now have proof the dealers know at least 3 days in advance how many they’re getting on a given day. They twice told me today “we didn’t get the number Nikon promised”, so why did an order made after mine get filled and not mine? Plus, they will lie to you: on 05 Nov I was told “I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. you can expect your order to shipped with the next shipment.” Well, that was today and I didn’t get one from B&H. I’ve been lied to twice by B&H and misled countless times.
Here’s how my experience went down:
B&H – order 9:13am 25 Aug, not filled in their 09 Nov shipment for some odd reason because they filled ones from the evening of 8/25, cancelled later on 09 Nov. I’ve fired B&H for life.
Amazon – ordered 33 days later on Sep 28, filled and shipped 09 Nov
Best Buy – Ordered Oct 3rd, haven’t decided what to do with that one. “Expected to ship by Sat, Nov 18.” is what it currently says.
Focus Camera – ordered Oct 12, cancelled 07 Nov.

Delivery from some online retailers. Nikon held events for retailers in mid August at which time accepted pre orders from them. Many retailers did not take advantage of this but waited until they had received customer preorders before ordering from Nikon. Beach Camera and Buydig being one. The retailers that waited until late Sept or early Oct to submit their initial purchases of these cameras will not have delivery until mid first quarter next year. Thus it would be best to avoid many of the ebay retailers and order from the big 4 as they are promising delivery for Christmas.
I ordered my D850 from buydig on Ebay on 8/28 and received it 11/9. So what you said doesn’t make much sense to me. Beach/Buydig must have been among the dealers that ordered earlier.
Nicole at buydig/beach stated they sell inhouse stock and the order to Nikon for the d850 was placed with their routine restocking order in late Sept. and are not expected until Dec or Jan. see private note to you with details.
I checked with them a couple of days after I ordered and they told me they had not received any D850s but they were on order with no delivery status from Nikon. Late in October, probably after customer complaints to Ebay, they told me the following:
“I am reaching out to let you know how sorry we are about the situation with your open NIKON D850 order. Nikon originally promised that we would be receiving these at the end of September (On or around 9/30). However, due to the issues, Nikon has had with their inventory of this exciting new release; they have had to change their commitment to us once again. While they are currently not able to provide us with an exact date of delivery, they have assured us that we will definitely be receiving these before the end of the month (October).”
I’m sure they sent this to everyone with early pre-orders. The pre-order listing I purchased was listed with a Qty of 76 with 34 still available expected to ship by 9/11. At the same time they had other listings for various packages. They must have ordered earlier or they lied.
Don’t know what to believe, My email yesterday stated they have been receiving a Limited quantity every week or 2. but had preferential shipping. They would put my order in the que since it was for Aug 26 to be shipped in one of the next batches received. I should receive it by Dec 1. ???? This was in reply to my inquiry to Paypal about the preferential release. They were very curt, saying I should have handled it with them vs using Paypal inquiry. It is hard to believe anything they say as I have had 3 different stories from 3 different people. Not the same old Beach Camera of a few years ago.
Just got a email from Beach. They confirmed they are shipping to Amazon customers with the Nov shipment. They have to be credit card pay upon shipping orders as they have a contractual agreement with Amazon. Orders placed directly or via ebay using prepaid Paypal will not ship until Amazon requests are fulfilled

After placing my order with Adorama on Sept 7th and cancelling it on Nov 6th. I placed my order with Calagaz in Mobile on the 6th, I picked up my camera this morning at 9:30. When I placed the order I was 1st out and they kept me up to date on the order. Could not get a word from Adorama.
My Adorama order on November 6th now shipping today.
I ordered my D850 from B&H on August.25th (!), the second day preordering was opened. As of Dec. 02, over 3 months later, I have yet to get a shipping update from B&H. I called multiple times due to a deadline with an overseas trip, left comments on their customer service feedback form and had email exchanges with one of their employees. Still, despite all the efforts, not a sound from B&H as to when I can get my camera. What ever happened to First come-First serve? People who ordered in September and well after me have gotten their cameras already. I have spent far into $5-figures at B&H over the years, and this is what I get? I am not asking for preferential treatment, just fairness, but B&H let me down big time!
Ordered with B&H 9/28, and by chance decided to order from Best Buy 10/30 with expected delivery 11/30. Two monthly emails from B&H stating still backordered, got an email from Best Buy 12/1 apologizing for delay, but shipped my item. Rec’d my anticipated D850 on 12/5 from Best Buy. Very disappointed with B&H, and I’m not alone in this I see.
B&H disappointed me too..ordered mine sep’t 6th and it shipped yesterday next day air….now I just received and e-mail from UPS that it will be delivered tomorrow…truck broke down!!! geeze….
Not sure why Nikon underestimated the demand for the D850, and backlogged ridiculously on deliveries both from them and their retailers. I’m grateful to be one of the luckier ones to grab one (and from the least expected retailer at that), as it seems ‘first come, first served’ doesn’t truly apply when it comes to Nikon cameras. My order on the 9th with amazon still has not shipped. Amazon confirmed that it depends on which fulfillment center your order is assigned to determines when it ships. So it’s not just when you ordered, it’s also where you live. There isn’t one shipping date that amazon has reached.
I got my tracking number from Amazon yesterday, so I ordered Nov 9th and it shipped Dec 5.
I gave up on B&H.

I called them this morning and my unit shows that it will ship on 12-10, according to the rep.
That is up a week from their last update which was a ship date of the 17th.

Adorama has finally shipped my order today placed on November 8. I also ordered from Amazon on 11/17 and they were ready to ship Monday.
For the record, I went with Adorama because they had a better deal (no tax, better warrenty), and they have been nothing but a giant pain in the you-know-what to work with. After much back and forth for three days (charged my card Sunday, said it was shipping, this morning had not shipped and was downgraded back to backordered, and was told my camera had been given to someone else..finally after many emails/tweets i now have a tracking number and several confirmations it will ship tonight)
My advice is, don’t worry about saving the $200 or so dollars on tax and go with Amazon. They’ve been ahead of the game on shipping this whole time and I’ve never had such a horrendous experience with their Customer Service as I’ve had these past three days with Adorama.
I can confirm that units ordered on the 27th from Amazon have shipped. Mine is supposed to arrive on Monday the 11th even though I paid for one day shipping. They did credit the $8 bucks back…
They did the same thing to me… cancelled my 1 day shipping, gave me a refund, and sent it two day instead. I wonder why?
Here is Amazon’s answer as to why they cancelled my next day and shipped it ground:
“09:54 AM PST Atishay: It’s because the item is very costly and Amazon believe in safety of your money, and that’s why we want to make sure that it’ll deliver safety and you won’t face any post-delivery problems.”

My Nikon D850 arrives today December 7th. I ordered it less than two week ago from Berger Bros. – an authorized dealer on Long Island.
Ordered my d850 via Amazon on 11/27 and just received a notification that it will be getting to me Monday, 12/11.

This is odd. I just called Amazon and told them about this and other reports of people who ordered after I did (Nov 27) having their orders shipped and they told me that the camera has been out of stock since I ordered it on Nov. 27 and they haven’t shipped any since that time. I just love having my chain jerked.
I don’t think this page is very accurate. I ordered from Amazon, on a date 10 days before the one listed as shipping above, and still no movement on my order. I don’t know where this page gets it’s information from, but it isn’t reliable.

I’m with you. I ordered Nov 10 and thought it would be shipping any day. Now, after reading your comment, I’m less optimistic. I’m in Texas so I think some distribution areas are receiving/sending them MUCH quicker than others but come on, how can one fulfillment center be shipping a month or more sooner than another?
Update to my last post… Just received notice from Amazon that my body is about to ship and should arrive on Friday. For reference, I ordered on November 10 (from Texas).

I wonder if any of these Amazon orders being shipped within a week from ordering are grey market items?
Last Sunday morning, December 10th, on Amazon, was noted that they would be in stock on December 16th, and so advised to pre-order “Now”. I neglected to order as I had pre-ordered on December 5th. (Later in the afternoon on the 10th Amazon noted that they were “Temporarily out of stock”. And then advised to pre-order and they would notify when available). So it appears to me that they give less importance to those that pre-order when they are ‘Temporarily out of stock’ than those who pre-order when they note a shipment coming in on a specific date.

The fact that this camera is never coming out doesnt make me think Nikon got its act together again. What is wrong at this company? Who needs to be fired to make them great again? Also, this is a seemingly great camera, but should be selling for 2k not 3k. It’s too expensive, and it’s taking too long to come out. That makes me think it’s going to be another body with weird defects again.
what?… this isn’t a consumer hobbiest camera. 3k is kinda cheap for what it is. Thats why it is sold out. Cheaper than a d5 and equal/better in some respects.

I ordered from Adorama on Dec 26th and I got a mail yesterday saying its shipped (Dec 28th).. That’s 2 days guys !! Unbelievable 🙂 .. Also I chose Adorama over Amazon for the following reasons –
1. Financing option available.
2. No Tax (which saves a lot of money considering the price of the item)
Also for people who are in Dallas, TX you can visit Competitive Cameras. They have D850 stocks but no financing option :-(.

After seeing your posts I contacted Competitive Camera late last week and they had just ran out but was told they expected more soon. I inquired about returning it if I wasn’t thrilled with it and they don’t offer that as an option.
I had an order placed with B&H but was sick of waiting.
Decided I wanted it ASAP yesterday and called the very friendly guys back at Competitive Camera and told them I wanted to place an order. They called back today and I just ordered the Nikon D850, Grip, en-el18b battery, chamber cover, and 256gb xqd Sony card.
Everything but the Sony 256gb XQD card to ship today with that expected to ship within a day or two, Camera should be in my hands by Friday 🙂
I’d highly recommend anyone who wants one give them a call.
I was pleasantly surprised when a D850 order I placed with National Camera Exchange on December 14, 2017 was shipped for delivery on January 3, 2018. I was #51 in their backorder queue at the time I placed the order and that was cleared in only a couple weeks. US Model, US warranty. So for all of you folks waiting and waiting and waiting for the Big Guys to come through like Adorama, B&H, Amazon, etc. I’d suggest placing orders with smaller to mid sized photography/camera sellers. I had orders with all the big three outstanding for months.

Apparently, Amazon does not ship in a “first come first serve” manner. I placed my order on 12/27 and they still have not shipped my order while numerous others who ordered after me have reported already getting their camera. The four different Amazon reps have provided no answers.
My Amazon order now says Shipping Now, so that’s something. No tracking number yet. The order I have with best Buy says Expected Ship Date Feb 5th.
Finally got a tracking number that Amazon has shipped the D850 I ordered on 12/27. They messed up and are shipping it via Ground instead of Next Day as ordered but at least it is on the way.

Adorama seems to really be ramping shipments up. I ordered my D850 (and a Lexar XQD card, which is still “backordered”) on 2/19 and received a text last night that my order was on it’s way (text was received at 11pm EST but there was no change on the website’s account page so I thought it was an error). I just checked this morning and UPS has it and will be delivering it tomorrow.
I ordered on 2/5, and got a similar text at 11pm EST last night. Camera arrived this morning at 10:30am! 😀 Never have I been so excited about next day shipping! haha

A lot of Mon N’ Pop camera stores are shipping out D850’s in under two weeks. Placed an order on 3/26 @ Kenmore Camera (WA), and was told it’s likely to ship out tomorrow.
Nikon is not allowing store stock so any that mom and pop are selling are broken kits or unopened used items that may have warranty issue I suspect.
Update 2 ordered on the 9th from bh and still no word. Continue to hope that Nikon is doing monthly drops which makes next week a potential.

My comments to B&H:
It’s very sad to see that B&H has such a hard time getting the Nikon D850. As one of the largest camera retailers in the world what’s wrong with this picture? I have tried to wait since November of 2017 and even pre-ordered this camera for months now and still B&H can’t twist Nikon’s arm for more inventory. I finally had to buy my copy from Pictureline, Inc in Salt lake City, UT as B&H ,which I prefer, still has no stock of this camera. I wait for “Tell me when in stock” emails and they never come. I have never seen a camera that was so hard to get in stock, even as popular and scarce as it seems to be. Shame on Nikon for limiting supply and shame on B&H with putting up with this Nikon FAKE shortage. No camera before has been so short of stock for so long. Perhaps Nikon is doing this to keep the price from falling but B&H should fight this tactic and object strongly to Nikon dragging it production feet as a way to make more money. Smaller stores are getting more stock than you.
I had mine on back order from B&H as well. I ended up getting the alert on here that they were in stock at Kenmore Camera and I scooped it up. Freaking love it. If you are on the fence, and can swing the hefty price. GO FOR IT!
It’s a quality control issue. They can’t keep up with demand and the D850 might have saved Nikon….profits are way up and as a loyal Nikon guy for 30 years I see that as a good thing. The shrewd play is ordering from a smaller vendor, in this case, Adorama. B&H is so huge and popular that they have more orders to fill each week.
So I ordered from Adorama on May 1. Looks like they charged my card on May 16th…no info yet from them but I’m crossing my fingers that I will get a confirmation email this Monday May 21st.

Adorama charged my card again this morning. The hold is until 06/07. So maybe some news is coming. This is the third time in a month that they have put a hold for funds, the last two times the hold expired with no info. Fingers crossed.

I ordered mine on May 7th from B&H, nobody knows when they’re getting more in stock. Not anyone at B&H has been told when they’re getting more. So bummed.
I pre-ordered my D850 from Amazon on May 5. This morning I got a delivery estimate for June 6.
My card was charged a couple days ago. I got a new shipping update for June 1.
I ordered from B&H on April 29 — it’s now June 1. The good peeps at B&H said that “Nikon is being very slow to ship because they want to increase the demand”. I’m not sure if this is true or not, but I love Nikon, I’ve been a user of their products for 30+ years, and respectfully, they need to get their sh*t together.
Everyone needs to calm down and be patient! It’s just a f*cking camera that you don’t need anyway.
What if you have other items in your cart that are backordered as well, such as a memory card? Will the store (B&H) ship your D850 when it becomes available or will you have to wait for the other items to be in stock first?
For B&H there’s an option to ship all-together once everything is in stock, or ship individually. I’m waiting for my D850 and have a 128GB XQD Card in the cart, but I didn’t want them to send me the card until I got the 850 in case I cancel my order.
The memory card I selected was in stock at the time of the order but now the same card is back-ordered until July 2nd, so I’m wondering if that will affect the 850 should it come in soon. My entire order was placed April 30th.
Another week, another backorder notice from Adorama. Ordered on May 1.

I ordered from B&H on April 27th. Nothing at all. A simple “Your item is backordered email.” They say they have no idea when they’ll be shipping. I keep checking this website for updates and haven’t seen anything new. Wonder if mine will arrive before they release the 900.

Ordered Mine from Adorama May 10th I now have it showing “In Progress – we’re preparing your order for shipment” on June 6th! I dont know if its a ploy though.

Just got notice that my Amazon order placed on May 17 is on its way and will be delivered on Friday this week.
Amazon seems like the way to go. 3 weeks or less. 4-5 weeks for Adorama. Wonder what’s happening at B&H??

Ordered my d850 from Amazon on June 3rd, just got the update that I’ll receive it on June 29th.
Update: Amazon reduced the wait time and I got the notice that the camera will be delivered June 20, ordered June 3.

Ordered June 14th. Came today June 21. Nebraska Furniture Market (authorized Nikon dealer). If you’re looking to get one quicker than the top 3 retailers I suggest you google authorized Nikon retailers. There you will find a list from the Nikon site. You’ll have to manually type in each retailer in google to find their site but that’s how I got mine so quick.

Amazon informed me that my D850 (body only) order will be delivered on July 5th. Order placed on June 8th.
Ordered mine May 15th from B&H. So I’m now about 6 weeks out with no word. Just found the camera yesterday at Biggs Camera in Charlotte. Bought it (I bit the bullet and paid tax) and cancelled my B&H order.
I ordered from Amazon mid-June 2018 but based on various websites, it appears that it will be late August at the earliest before I could see the camera as they have experienced a tremendous increase in orders (I hear dozens per day) through all of June 2018.
AMAZON UPDATE: My D850 (body only) – order placed on JUNE 8TH – was supposed to arrive today (JULY 5TH) but it hasn’t shipped out yet. Just spoke with customer service and it turns out, they didn’t receive stock when they expected to. So the shipment has been delayed. They gave me a 3% discount for the inconvenience though ($104).
There are a few legitimate and a LOT of “grey” market cameras available in the U.S. right now but it appears all shipments have been suspended indefinitely until some kind of “political” issue involving parts of this camera that are shipped to Thailand to manufacture it. It is possible that new shipments will carry a hefty price increase.
I ordered May 24th from B&H. It’s now July 8th and no word. Anyone know what’s up?
My Nikon D850 (body only), ordered on June 8th just now shipped out (on July 11th) and will be arriving tomorrow (July 12th) 🙂

Ordered D850 6/12 from B&H and still no word. Also ordered from Amazon and Adorama on 6/27. Getting very frustrated! I understand it’s difficult to forecast sales/demand, but this far into it they should be able to fulfill orders much faster.

I would check with Bedford’s Camera or Unique Photo. I was able to get 2 of them from those places respectively.
Got the D850 from Glazer’s Camera in Seattle, WA tonight (7/19). My backorder from B&H on June 10 still hasn’t shipped.
B&H UPDATE: My credit card was charged and my camera is in stock and sent to the warehouse. I ordered on June 17th and the status was updated on July 20th.
I ordered on July 5 and just got an Aug. 4 expected ship date.

with tracking on July 23rd. Scheduled for 2 day delivery. Was not
expecting it so fast!
*Update* I just received my D850 (July 25th). They indeed put the right camera in the box and I still can’t believe how quick it was!
Do not order from B&H! I was ordered there in mid-May and finally got my package today (2 months later)… However, when I opened the package instead of D850 I got some cheap Canon camera. I called to B&H customer support, they apologized, and told me that camera not in stock… B&H used to be very respected shop, but now it behaves like typical scam. Just be aware…

Heard from Adorama today. Made order and waiting for next confirm email. Made order 7/30 and now ready 9/6.
I placed my order on August 13 through B&H, my order was updated today (August 17) as “in stock, order sent to warehouse” and my payment was processed. I anticipate it will ship by the end of the day, or tomorrow.
Can anyone confirm if the tracker is accurate? I placed my order with Adorama Aug 3rd and it says here the latest ship date is August 14th. Just want to know if I should take the tracker with a grain of salt or not
I placed my order with them on Aug 9th. Their on-line chat rep just told me my order is still listed as “on backorder”. Guess I shouldn’t keep checking this site every 2 days.
It seemed pretty accurate in July (I had pre ordered before but bought a lens because I was impatient and got notified my card couldn’t be charged because of my limit right when the tracker said the camera was in stock). Will update if my order status changes
Don’t think the Adorama one is accurate, from my order. I ordered on 7/30 and still not ready. I emailed them last week and they said they had fulfilled orders up to June 30th…So, I figure another 2-3 weeks, unless production increases or people cancel. I did go on B&H and placed an order there. They are confirming the 9/7 date above, so that maybe accurate.

Update on Adorama order I placed on Aug 9th. Received shipping notice on Sept 5 at 9pm. UPS delivery scheduled for Sept 6th. (I’m in Jersey)
No problem. It was a bit of a surprise after reading all the comments here. I almost cancelled with Adorama too; but figured I’d just let it ride. Been shooting all weekend. It’s an amazing camera.
I got the shipping notification today (9/9), so I’m expecting it before the end of the week. Can’t wait to experience for myself
