On September 14, 2013, Nikon USA removed the Nikon D600 and Nikon D5100 camera from there MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) list, this means that US dealers can now sell D600 and D5100 at any price they wish and will not be punished for that. The D600 price could drop down soon.
This is another sign that the replacement of D600 (D610) coming soon, as rumored before, D610 will solve the issue of D600 oil sensor, and D610 will be displayed at PhotoPlus Expo in late October, other specs of D610 is not available yet.

…and my d600 sensor is still dirty!! thanks Nikon
Nikon is really fu**ing with people…Nikon D610 WTF??!!
Solving Oil Spot Issue, what the hell am i supposed to do with my D600…
Burn it, cos it will have a huge price drop even in the used market…F*ck Nikon very much.
I haven’t had any oil spot issue with my D600. I bought it and I just do not like the camera at all. I had a D300 so the DX lens on the full frame really reduce what I am focusing on. I have used it for sports photos and I have taken the ugliest pictures ever. Just shit. I spend more time in the MENU than I do taking pictures. I wish I had never wasted $2000 on it. Everyone gave it such high reviews that I purchased it. I wish I could mail it back to Nikon and tell them where to stick it.
A photograph is only as good as the lens you’re using. DXO Labs rated the D600 sensor as the third-best ever made. Why would you buy an FX camera and use a DX lens with it? I shoot beautiful images with my D600 and Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens, among others. Upgrade your lenses and you will be amazed, but don’t blame the camera.
