According to trusted source from CR, upcoming Canon EOS-1D X Mark II will have a new developed 22MP full frame sensor. Previous said 1D X Mark II will have a 24MP sensor. The original Canon EOS-1D X has a 18MP full frame sensor.

After Nikon has announced the new Nikon D5 and Nikon D500, Sony now introduced new XQD cards and SD cards designed for these two new cameras. The XQD-M series offers read speeds up to 440MB/sec and write speeds up to 150MB/s, and is available in 32, 64 and 128GB capacities. The new SF-M series of SD cards support up to 260MB/sec read and 100MB/sec write speeds. Sony also offers a new XQD/SD combination card reader.

Nikon recently has announced the new Nikon D5 (Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama) flagship full frame DSLR camera at CES 2016. So when will Canon release their 1D X Mark II ? CanonRumors has confirmed that Canon EOS-1D X Mark II will be announced in February or March of 2016. Probably at CP+ Show in Japan in February, and 1D X Mark II will start shipping in April, 2016.
