You mixed up your labels. Which I think adds to the confusion of which is what and what has what features.
the only real differences right now are the new mode dial which can rotate through 360,and a new external coating inherited from mid-range models like the 60D to provide a more durable finish.
the other difference worth noting is the kit lens are different. the new STM kit lens options with the t5i are better, but if you are going to dump the kit lens anyway its not really an issue, but for beginners the more durable body and better kit lens might be something to think about (not to mention the lower starting price is always nice too when comparing the kits)
also, live preview with the t5i i think
It’s so sweet. A decent company would upgrade the software through firmware updates, but Canon goes the extra mile and makes a brand new camera! I’m tossing my d650 in the can and buying the new software update! It has a better mode dial!
