  1. Nice that they added the plugin remote and dual pixel. But the 180° flip screen is gone. :'( Should have left evf as optional like the m3.

  2. I love the design. This is what the first one should have been. Built in EVF, Lots of dials. Lets hope it can beat my Sony a6000.

  3. At least one problem with these specs. If it has 5-axis IS, why is an IS lens mounted on it? I know there is a precedent in the Panasonic line but this seems to go against the Canon ethos.

  4. agh! Close but no cigar. They have to make a full-frame sensor mirrorless to compete with the Sony A7Rii before I consider going back to Canon for mirrorless. I have an EOS M which has its benefits, not least packaging, but there is nothing in the Canon lineup, not even the foreseeable one, that can compete with the EVF or sensor of the Sony. Sony is far from perfect, but it’s the best mirrorless offering out there right now (ignoring Hasselblad!). Canon should simply copy Sony and improve with Canon after-sales service and the existing Canon ecosystem. BTW, the new Sony G-Master lenses are better than the equivalent Canon offerings (I have both).

  5. Very clean design. Very good bottom-dial array, most probably good haptics (touchy-feely). New processing unit indicates extended use of dual pixel AF sensor of 80D. This sensor is nothing to complain about. If the UI is as user friendly as generally Canon, it might be a winner (touchscreen?). And all EF lenses are usable. Who could ask for anything more? (Disclosure: I am Nikon only user.)
