If price is reasonable (say similar to Nikon’s 17-55 f/2.8 ) this will be a game changer, but from what I know about lenses it will likely be more like $2000. Still it may shift some high end enthusiasts to stick with DX, since this will be shallower field of view and about the same light gathering to an f/2.8 equivalent zoom on FX.
first F/1.8 zoom ever in the world. For crop though. Still. Until now the fastest zooms ever were Olympus F/2. Noone has ever created a faster zoom
