Rumors from Photography Bay, Canon is currently in testing a new Pro DSLR with 75+ MP sensor. This pre-production big megapixel camera has the 1D X design and lots of great features:
- 75+ MP sensor
- Canon EOS-1D X Design
- Rear LCD with shockingly high resolution.
- High frame rates, even greater than 1D X
- A new processor (or processors)
- To be announced in the end of 2013, release date set in 2014
Previous rumors also show that another Big Megapixel camera such as Canon EOS 3D. Maybe Canon is testing more than one Big Megapixel cameras.

Why do you need 75 mp? is the sensor square feet big? why would anyone even need 75 MP on a full frame sensor anyway. the image size will be off the roof, good luck shooting with it and good luck spending all that money on harddrives to save those photos lolol
Shooting bill board ads? Maybe a 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch usable crop..

its more then enough we have at the movement,,, just going to be use less as i think.what we gonna do with 75 megapixel? as still is 35mm format.
Am I the only one having a hard time believing in a 75MP burst at 15+ images / sec ?
even if they can fid in it a 2.5″ hard drive rather than SD, but what will become the size of the storage PC/Mac which will be needed to store all the photos, I think i have about 100k photos and several TB inclouding backup, in NAS…. will say I get that camera and have to change all other stuff, hope memory while working on Lightroom can keep up.
Those skeptical are not keeping up with the current trend in circuit development, R&D is working on 5 nanometer as I type! Battery tech has gone exponential and the new memory cards around the corner can write at 600MB per second! Tighten your belts the ride is just beginning!
